Two color, paper stencil print using Blick & Speedball inks. The red ink seemed to be reacting with the sizing on the black paper I initially planned to use. After the ink on the initial run foamed up, I scrubbed down again, recut the stencil, and pulled another, larger edition. The red ink continued to foam on the black paper; I switched to white drawing paper at hand, which seemed to resolve the issue. It’s more loosely registered than I’d prefer, but will make a good assignment for my concurrent enrollment studio class – assuming that I can work out screen cleaning and reclamation with 30 students.
