Day 1,073. I use a Field Notes memo book to collect and contain the little, postage stamp sized post-it notes that I use to organize my life, and to remember ideas, quotes, and what-not. The memo book lives inside a Bellroy sleeve that they made for Field Notes at one point. I’m very fond of the leather cover, the memo book, and the collection of mental ephemera that they jointly enshrine. My weekend chores, grocery lists, and lumber needed post-it notes don’t tend to make this book. This is for curriculum development ideas, Taylor Swift lyrics, ideas for transferring drawing skills to my students, songs that may be good to seed my streaming service for the day, new torture, er, project ideas for my students, songs that are definitely NOT good for seeding my streaming service, and (paraphrased) Walt Whitman and Mary Oliver quotes. Y’know. That kind of ephemera.
